Our Atlantic Blue Revolution wool from Camira sets a new precedent in circular manufacturing. Inspired by the traditional technique of wool recycling, known as ‘shoddy, which was a mainstay of 19th Century Yorkshire wool manufacturing. Camira have invested in this largely forgotten technique, whereby waste wool yarn is sorted into colour groups before being mechanically pulled apart, shredded and stripped back into fibre form. The recycled wool is then blended with virgin wool before being carded, spun and woven into new fabric. Available to order on all of our sofasĀ and accent chairs .

Revolution Wool Atlantic Blue

Our Atlantic Blue Revolution wool from Camira sets a new precedent in circular manufacturing. Inspired by the traditional technique of wool recycling, known as ‘shoddy’, which was a mainstay of 19th Century Yorkshire wool manufacturing. Camira have invested in this largely forgotten technique, whereby waste wool yarn is sorted into colour groups before being mechanically pulled apart, shredded and stripped back into fibre form. The recycled wool is then blended with virgin wool before being carded, spun and woven into new fabric. Containing 31% recycled material from Camira’s own yarn waste, Revolution is Certified to Indoor Advantageā„¢ Gold, being made entirely from renewable and compostable resources. This characterful and earthy heavy weight fabric is available to order on all of our sofasĀ and accent chairs .
