Our fabric sourcing, as with our choice of manufacturing partners, is as important to us as the end product, resulting in a conscious choice to use only British and European fabrics that all share the same sensibility of quality, provenance, and longevity. All of our fabrics are family friendly and are tested to a high level to be compitable with contract and hospitality use as well as for domestic interiors. With the exception of our Easy Care velvet, we focus primarily on natural fibres as the healthiest, most sustainable choice for your home.

We have created a carefully curated colour palette within our fabric collection, but all fabric options are available in a broader palette than is shown in our swatch ordering. If you are working to a specific palette that our colours do not cater for, always get in touch and we will be happy to propose alternatives.

Please note that we do not sell our fabrics by the metre, unless it forms part of an upholstery order.

Wool Linen Mix

With a heritage that dates back to 1783, Camira manufactures high quality wools from its mill in Huddersfield, Yorkshire. Camira’s ‘Main Line Flax‘ wool linen mix is a hugely hard wearing fabric made from sustainable resources. Natural linen flax has been blended into a 70% Wool 30% Linen Flax blend of fibre dyed yarn. Featuring a woven blend of yarn colours, this characterful textured weave works beautifully with our Mid Century inspired designs and is a perfect choice where durability is key. Certified to the EU Ecolabel standard and made from renewable resources, this fabric is both biodegradable and fully compostable. Other colours are available, just get in touch to discuss.

Wool Linen Tweed

Our newest addition from Yorkshire’s Camira fabrics  is a beautifully textured weave designed to co-ordinate with our best selling ‘Main Line Flax’ wool linen mix. ‘Main Line Twist‘ is made from sustainable resources with a 75% Wool 25% Linen Flax blend of fibre dyed yarn. Multi-tonal yarns create a fabric with impossible-to-define colour detail, rich in warmth and texture and featuring an almost hand woven appearance. Beautiful on its own or when mixed with our quieter Wool Linen Mix, shop the same colour name across both fabrics for the perfect pairing across multiple upholstery pieces. Blazer Wools

Camira’s Blazer felted wools have been chosen for their incredible quality and intense colours. Each offers contract quality and durability that will retain their good looks for years to come. Blazer is comprised of 100% Virgin Wool, all are proudly made in Yorkshire. Many other colours are available in addition to our 16 colour curation, just get in touch to discuss.

Abraham Moons Wools

Made by Abraham Moon & Sons, one of Britain’s last remaining fully vertical wool mills. Their process is one that sees all aspects of production from dyeing, blending, carding and spinning to weaving all taking place on the same unique site. The unique blending process that they employ, combining several colours of wool into each yarn before spinning, lends each fabric in their range a unique character and depth of colour with a durability that will ensure your upholstery lasts and endures.

With 185 years of manufacturing history, Netherfield Mill in Guiseley, West Yorkshire has been supplying high quality wools and tweeds to the fashion and interiors industry for generations. Suitable for both contract and domestic use. Other colours are available, just get in touch to discuss.

Wool Bouclé

A highly textured weave with a unique heritage, this ‘Yoredale‘ bouclé style yarn is not only woven in Yorkshire but is entirely constructed from British wool. This is a heavy weight fabric of subtle details and has a unique depth of colour. Blending the rich history of its Yorkshire Dales origins, this classic Mid Century style fabric has been updated for now. Suitable for both contract and domestic use. 67% Wool, 22% Flax and 11% Silk. Chunky Wool Flax

Warm and inviting, Camira’s Yorkshire made ‘Craggan Flax‘ collection brings texture and character to any interior. Crafted from a blend of wool and linen flax, this sustainable fabric retains the raw appeal of its natural material composition, whilst possessing a uniquely contemporary aesthetic. Chosen both for its characterful vintage feel as well as its strength and durability, it is suitable for both contract and domestic use. 85% Wool, 10% Flax, 5% Polyamide. ‘Revolution’ Recycled Wool

Our Revolution wool from Camira sets a new precedent in circular manufacturing. Inspired by the traditional technique of wool recycling, known as ‘shoddy’, which was a mainstay of 19th Century Yorkshire wool manufacturing. Camira have invested in this largely forgotten technique, whereby waste wool yarn is sorted into colour groups before being mechanically pulled apart, shredded and stripped back into fibre form. The recycled wool is then blended with virgin wool before being carded, spun and woven into new fabric. Containing 31% recycled material from Camira’s own yarn waste, Revolution is Certified to Indoor Advantage™ Gold, being made entirely from renewable and compostable resources. Manufactured in Huddersfield, this heavy weight fabric is a characterful and ethical choice, tested to an incredibly high level of durability. Easy Care Velvet

Known for their expertise and innovative approach, Linwood is a British design house specialising in UK and European made fabrics of quality and provenance. Their unique ‘stain-resist’ finishing is applied to this high performance ‘Omega III‘ velvet, making this a great choice for the rigours of family life. Offering the luxurious matt feel of cotton velvet but with the benefit of a washable, stain resist finish. Constructed from 60% recycled polyester and inherently fire retardant to avoid chemical back coating, this Italian made 100% velvet is stain coated before weaving for improved longevity.
