Model 1 Mid Century Corner Sofa
Our Mid Century Corner Sofa is offered in three sizes, the 4 seat being our smallest. Offering a contemporary re-imagining of a favourite Mid Century archetype, this size can be both left or right hand facing.
Designed with an emphasis on comfort and is made to your order in a family run workshop in Derbyshire.
An iconic model within 20th Century design, this one incorporates all of the classic design references that you would expect, reinterpreted for now.
Featuring panelled and buttoned back cushions with a soft fibre fill, chunky piped edging and rounded corners. Both back and foam seat cushions are fully reversible allowing you to flip them, maintaining their shape and comfort level whilst preserving their tailored shape for longer. Upholstered entirely in your chosen fabric, the solid hardwood frame is glued and screwed in the traditional manner, with a fully sprung seat. The angled frame profile holds you in recline, affording a hugely comfortable sit. Offered in a choice of over 100 fabrics, from Yorkshire made wools to Italian velvets. Delivered in two parts for assembly on delivery. The corner sofa is available in this 4 seat, 5 and 6 seat sizes, in addition to our standard sofas. Two styles of armchair and a footstool are also offered.

4 Seat Corner – Left or Right Hand Facing?
The 4 seat corners is 3 seats wide on one side, one seat side on the other. The LEFT hand facing corner has the single seat section to the left hand side as you are looking at the sofa. The RIGHT hand facing corner has the single seat section to the right hand side as you are looking at the sofa.

Frame/Material Construction
All our frames are handmade from solid hardwood and robust plywood that is carefully selected from traceable and sustainable sources. They are stapled, screwed and glued to ensure secure joints and long lasting durability. Our corner sofas are delivered in two sections which are joined together by our delivery team on arrival. The fixing mechanism holds your two parts firmly in place, but is easy to lift apart to move.
All of our frames are fully upholstered in your chosen fabric, without the use of lining fabrics under or behind loose cushions.
The seat platform is comprised of a full Zig-Zag sprung platform for added flexibility and optimum comfort. The seat cushion is constructed from a resilient foam core, wrapped in a soft layer of polyester fibre to achieve an inviting yet durable sit that requires the minimum of maintenance to retain its form. The back cushion is filled with a high quality polyester fibre, housed into separate fibre channels to aid a consistent and durable comfort. We recommend your flipping both seat and back cushions every 3-4 weeks to maintain their form over time.
Legs
All our Upholstery is available in a choice of natural or dark stained solid oak legs. Each option is finished in a clear natural lacquer to provide the level of durability required.
Please note that legs are bagged separately for delivery, to prevent damage in transit and for ease of navigation through entrances and doorways. All legs are unpacked and fitted by our 2 man delivery team as standard. All our corner sofas are delivered with 3 front legs and 5 back legs.
Care Instructions
All of our Upholstery models should be professionally dry cleaned by a qualified professional. Minor stains can be removed with the careful use of a clean damp cloth, followed by blotting with a clean dry, lint free cloth.
