Model 4 Mid Century Wingback Chair
Our Model 4 Mid Century Wingback chair reinvents this iconic style for now. As comfortable as it is stylish, it’s clean contemporary lines make it perfect for any modern space. Furthermore, the Wingback chair is guaranteed to make a statement, in any of the four fabrics offered.
The softly curved frame is made from a solid hardwood, upholstered with hard wearing foam and fibre fill. The deep-buttoned back is angled to hold the sitter in perfect recline whilst gently curved side wings cocoon and envelop. With it’s high back and generous proportions, this one will make you want to stop and stay a while.
Offered in a choice of over 100 fabrics, from our 100% wool felt to wool linen mixes, Easy Care stain resist fabrics and luxurious velvets. Choose from solid European oak or dark ‘walnut’ stained solid beech on our gently tapered legs. Legs incorporate a metal cap fitting which is exclusive to Living Room. This fitting is a classic 1950s Mid Century chair detail, it’s metal ball flexing to sit perfectly on any floor.
Although not designed specifically for this model, the Model 3 Footstool adds an extra element of comfort if required. The legs are an exact match, likewise the sit of this Model 4 chair is the same as that of Model 3 Cocktail Chair. When ordered with the Model 4 Chair, the footstool seams will be piped to co-ordinate.

Frame/Material Construction
All our frames are handmade from solid birch hardwood and robust plywood that is carefully selected from traceable & sustainable sources. They are stapled, screwed and glued to ensure secure joints and long lasting durability.
The fixed seat is comprised of a full Zig-Zag sprung platform for added flexibility and optimum comfort. The frame is then covered with a resilient profiled foam wrapped in a soft layer of polyester fibre.
The fixed back is contructed from ‘Superloop’ springs covered with resilient profiled foam wrapped in a soft layer of polyester fibre. As with the seat construction, this ensures that, despite the firmness of sit that is inherent to fixed seat and back upholstery, that there is a high level of comfort as well as an in-built longevity.
Legs
All our Upholstery is available in a choice of solid European oak leg or walnut effect dark stained solid beech. Each option is finished in a clear natural lacquer to provide the level of durability required
Please note that legs are bagged separately for delivery, to prevent damage in transit and for ease of navigation through entrances and doorways. All legs are unpacked and fitted by our 2 man delivery team as standard.
Care Instructions
All of our Upholstery models should be professionally dry cleaned by a qualified professional. Minor stains can be removed with the careful use of a clean damp cloth, followed by blotting with a clean dry, lint free cloth.
